Dr Dominika Kominkova

Dominika is a Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience across mental health and substance use services in the NHS, third-sector organisations, and private practice in the UK and internationally. She specialises in supporting adults, couples and families from a wide range of backgrounds, intersections of identities and life experiences, and is deeply committed to providing therapy that is collaborative, compassionate, and empowering.​

Therapeutic Approach:​

Dominika integrates a range of evidence-based approaches (including EMDR, Schema Therapy, CBT, and Family Therapy) to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, goals and therapy stage. Her work is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, culturally sensitive and LGBTQIA+ allied.

She offers a warm, non-judgemental, and down-to-earth therapeutic style, creating a safe and curious space where clients can explore what feels difficult and discover new ways of relating to themselves and others, reconnecting with a sense of worth, agency and emotional wellbeing. Dominika sees therapy as a transformative process of understanding oneself, healing the impact of past experiences, learning to meet emotional needs, and moving toward a more grounded and meaningful life.

  • 2022   Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) – University of Plymouth

  • 2018   PgCert in Low-Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy – University of Essex

  • 2010   BSc in Psychology – Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia

  • Additional training in EMDR, Schema Therapy, Family therapy and Systemic practice
